Lake Shore meets a variety of needs with an extensive benefits package. Full-time, regular employees are eligible for all of the following on the first of the month following date of hire:

Tuition assistance

Employees are eligible after 30 days of employment. They may be reimbursed for tuition and related expenses for courses that will benefit job performance. Reimbursement is made on a graduated scale based on course grades.

Flexible hours

Employees may take advantage of flexible work hours dependent on departmental needs and supervisor approval.

Wellness program

Lake Shore offers a robust Wellness Program with many benefits, including reimbursement of up to 50% of $450 (up to $225 annually) for a program from an outside company that improves an employee’s health after one year of continuous employment. Lake Shore was a Bronze Award winner in 2009 to 2011, and a Gold Award winner in 2012, 2016, and 2017 of the Healthy Ohioans Healthy Workplace. In 2014 and 2015 we were named Healthiest Employer (medium-sized company) of Central Ohio by Columbus Business First.

PTO

Employees earn paid time off (PTO) based on length of service. PTO for less than 5 years of service is 17 days, (pro-rated the first year); 22 PTO days after 5 years and 27 PTO days after 14 years.

Holidays

Employees are eligible for 8 paid holidays per calendar year.

Part-time new childcare leave

After one year of employment, employees may reduce their work hours and maintain full-time benefits for a period of time after the birth or adoption of a child, provided they are the sole provider of medical insurance for their family.

Credit union

As a member of the credit union, employees are entitled to many services. The services include checking and savings accounts, Christmas and vacation clubs, IRAs and VISA accounts.

On-site exercise facility

All employees have access to a fully equipped on-site exercise facility. A trainer visits twice a week, offering 45 minute, full circuit training classes.

Business casual atmosphere

Our employees enjoy a relaxed, professional environment in business casual attire.

Employee referral program

Employees may earn $1500 by referring someone for a full-time posted position. The $1500 is grossed up, to include tax withholdings.
