Regional Sales Manager
The most gratifying component of being at Lake Shore is the small part I play in the scientific research that benefits all of humanity. I’m fortunate to be able to collaborate with some of the world’s leading scientists and engineers at the cutting edge of fundamental research. Lake Shore’s research customers include diverse fields such as quantum computing, next-generation mobile computing and communications, fusion energy, linear accelerators, as well as satellites to investigate science from the dynamics of the earth’s ozone layer to exploration of our solar system to imaging of the far reaches of the universe.
Vaden West is Lake Shore’s Regional Sales Manager for the western half of the U.S. His primary role is providing technical analysis of customer applications and requirements, advising them on the most effective and cost-efficient use of our technology for their research. He also regularly visits customer labs and research facilities to assess how Lake Shore can better serve their needs going forward, and represents the company at industry and academic conferences, including those focused on materials research, photonics, wireless networking, cryogenics, physics, as well as space technology and exploration.
Vaden is a graduate of The Ohio State University, receiving a BSc in Electrical Engineering in 1996 and an MBA in 2003. He joined Lake Shore in 1996, serving first as a Technical Sales Engineer for the midwestern U.S. region. In 2000, Vaden moved to marketing, initially serving as a systems products Marketing Specialist, and later managing Lake Shore’s sales channel representatives in the U.S. and Europe. He was Marketing Manager from 2003–2004, overseeing the development and execution of the company’s strategic marketing plan. He moved to California in 2005, assuming his current role as a Regional Sales Manager, and he currently resides in Nevada.
